Privacy policy

Stichting Lumiventario values an honest, intelligible approach to personal data. This document explains which data we collect when you read our publications or subscribe to the newsletter, and why.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Stichting Lumiventario, with its registered office in Amsterdam, listed at the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 89745632. Postal address: Keizersgracht 482, 1017 EJ Amsterdam. You can reach us at redactie@lumiventario.com.
2. Data we process
When you subscribe to our newsletter we process your name, email address and — if you choose to add one — a short message. For the basic functioning of the website we log technical data such as IP address, browser type and visited pages. Analytics and advertising measurements only become active after your consent in the cookie banner.
3. Purpose and legal basis
The legal basis for the processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) for the newsletter and analytics, and our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) for basic site security. We never process special categories of personal data without separate, explicit consent.
4. Retention period
We keep newsletter data for as long as you are subscribed, plus 24 months for administrative purposes. Technical server logs are anonymised after 90 days. Analytics data is retained for no more than 14 months, in line with the guidelines of the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, restrict, erase and port your data. Please send requests to redactie@lumiventario.com. We respond within four weeks. If you disagree with our approach you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
6. International transfers
Lumiventario uses European hosting providers. If Google services (such as Consent Mode v2 or Google Ads) process data outside the EEA, this is done exclusively under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and with your explicit cookie consent.
7. Changes
We update this document whenever legislation or practice requires it. The most recent version is always available on this page. Material changes are announced at least once in the newsletter.
